Perhaps you have bought a new home, or maybe you are simply redecorating, or maybe your missing some of your blinds slats. Either way, you have decided that you need to revamp your current vertical blinds and for whatever reason (most likely cost) you have decided to simply replace the vanes. Replacement vertical blinds are available and can change the look of a whole room, but you need to think about this before you decide on doing it.

Before looking for replacement vertical blinds, you should measure your blinds vane’s width and height. This will give you numbers to base your research off of. Anyone who quotes you a price will need these measurements. Figure out what material your slats are made from. Generally, vertical blinds slats are made from vinyl, fabric, bamboo, wood, metal, pvc, or canvas.

One really cheap and easy way is to make them at home. You can simply take high quality upholstery fabric that you like and cut it into strips which match the width and length of the vanes in your blinds. Then, starch them until they are really stiff. Lastly, just insert them into the blind slats like you would with replacement vanes.

Whether you buy new ones or paint or create new ones, you can really change the entire look of a room by replacing the vertical blinds.
